I can't say I fully understand the symolism behind the piece, but if I've learned anything from practicing Tarot its that the things that catch your eyes in a piece often relate to something deeper. From what I can see, I have the impression of growth and opportunity as well as purity and healing from the tree and rain
Well, It definately relates with the symbolism i've meant to portray. The broken wall, the red (dark) sky, the road that ends and the thread that suddenly stops (red line)... They are all symbolizing an (awfull) past life. The tree with lights and the lighting in the back stands for hope and a new beginning/future.
The clouds are the line between the past and future and the rain is just a dramatic effect that I liked.
